I usually don't post stories of this nature, but I feel compelled to share this one. My good friend and frequent "musical accomplice" Ana Catalina Ramírez had included my clarinet duet Aurora in her current series of duo recitals in her native Costa Rica. On June 18 she had an outreach performance of it at a Home for the Elderly. Soon after the piece had started, two residents got up and danced to it. To quote Ana, "it was so tender!". I am so touched by this. This just gives me one more reason to keep making music with renewed dedication and -especially- love.
