Successful performances in El Salvador

I am very grateful to the JOCCA (Joven Orquesta y Coro de Centroamérica) for having me once more as a guest for their most recent meet in El Salvador. I did a total of four concerts (2 programs) as guest conductor, and had the pleasure of working with some of the most talented and eager musicians in Central America, as well as enthusiastic local students from the Centro Nacional de las Artes (CENAR). My works in the programs were by Shostakovich and Salvadoran composer Carlos Colón. I also had the chance to coach the chamber ensemble, and offer lectures to conductors and music students. Special thanks to James Price, CENAR's director, who hosted us. Photo: with the Festival's Full Orchestra, and mezzo-soprano Connie Palacios, at the National Theatre of El Salvador.
